I just carried in a box of water to my apartment and feel like im going to die

can anyone tell me how heavy this box is?

it was 12 bottles of 1.5 liter water

i don't do metric so i was wondering if someone could convert this to pounds for me

the stuff like cardboard/plastic etc make an extremely neglible difference to weight, so its more about the total weight of the water

thanks

Explain to me /sci/, why Paxlovid has NOT ended the covid crisis yet and allowed everything to return to absolute normal?

I'll wait, just give me one reason why we are not back to normal yet.

Looking for a book

No.14284913 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Guys, can you help me finding the book? It was something about formal languages and grammars and automated theorem proving. I only remember a single passage from it. It tells about people developing computer reasoning system. They gave it an input like "The guy shaves himself with a razor each morning" and the system answered that it's a logical mistake, because razor is made of metal and a human can't have metal parts. It's not literal narrative just the summary of what I remembered.

Bi-Directionality-of-Flow-Dependent, Conditionally Conductive Pathways Made from Metamaterials for Fast-Charging, Safe, High-Capacity Batteries

By utilizing a design in which the property of conductivity is altered by the bi-directionality of electron flow (charging from two directions in 90 degree opposition to one another on layers offset by an atomic width) and discharging only within the context of the same mechanism, the flow rate of discharge can be controlled and a battery can be designed that would preclude thermal cascading.

Requiring that the charge or discharge of the battery be bi-directional means that electrons must take an unnatural, indirect path including turns at right angles through micro-circuitry to be able to discharge. This may be termed a self-charging or electron-recycling pathway. Only when electrons flow at a perpendicular angle through a neighboring layer would electrons successfully flow through the metamaterial in the direction of the cathode. Since transport of electrons into the electron-recycling pathway would be governed by micro-circuitry, any excessive flow of electrons would burn out that circuitry and render the battery incapable of discharging its stored electrons.

Nyquist Aliasing Effect When Looking at Spinning Wheels

No.14285929 ViewReplyOriginalReport
We all know that sometimes wheels appear to be moving backwards when we see them on the highway. This occurs due to aliasing. As a wheel increases speed, it will initially appear to be moving faster and faster, before suddenly moving in reverse really fast and slowing down, before suddenly moving forward again and speeding up, and eventually you won't be able to tell which direction it's going in and the wheel will appear very blurry. Would the number of spokes on a wheel change the speeds at which this phenomenon occurs, or is this phenomenon constant for small and large numbers of spokes?
