Why the fuck are (((ethics))) even worthy of consideration when it comes to science? Ivy leagues, government, military, and business don't give a fuck behind closed doors and yet I have to apply to a group of (((laypeople))) and xers who decide whether my test is problematic or not. What a fucking joke, is unofficial testing the only way forward?

Sand won't save you this time

A chemist friend told me about this famous article years ago and i just remembered. It's a classic.

>The compound also a stronger oxidizing agent than oxygen itself, which also puts it into rare territory. That means that it can potentially go on to “burn” things that you would normally consider already burnt to hell and gone, and a practical consequence of that is that it’ll start roaring reactions with things like bricks and asbestos tile. It’s been used in the semiconductor industry to clean oxides off of surfaces, at which activity it no doubt excels.

>I’ll let the late John Clark describe the stuff, since he had first-hand experience in attempts to use it as rocket fuel. From his out-of-print classic Ignition! we have:
”It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water-with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals-steel, copper, aluminium, etc.-because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminium keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.”

Why do different elements have different properties?
>they have a different number of protons
Yeah, no shit. I get that. But why does have different protons make the elements so different?? I also get that the electron orbital shapes are different depending on how many protons there are, but why does that make the elements so different just because the orbiting electrons are in a slightly different configuration?

I just don't get it.

So, now that most of the federal agents went back to /pol/, what‘s the truth about the vaccine? I know covid is just a cold but I took the memevaxx so I can go out again and have some fun. Was it just a money grab or will I have some real consequences?

It just occured to me that saying shit like "rotate 60 degrees clockwise" isn't going to make sense soon once these things get fully phased out over the rest of my lifetime.

Why aren't there mad inventors anymore?

No.14305660 ViewReplyOriginalReport
In the 19th and early 20th century you used to get independent madlads building contraptions, mixing chemicals, and flying machines. Why such people no longer around and only established companies make things?

Undecidable problem proof

No.14303177 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Can someone explain why in pic related, in the proof, it's always the Turing Machine's own encoding (see highlighted block in red) that's being taken as a string? It's fucking confusing me.

Or can someone explain their own proof in retard speech for why that language is undecidable?
