>that Anon that postulated nicotine would help prevent long covid

No.14293835 ViewReplyOriginalReport
>https://openres.ersjournals.com/content/7/2/00713-2020
"Nicotine exposure induces rapid and long-lasting increases in gene and protein expression of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) receptor ACE2, which in turn translates into increased competence for SARS-CoV-2 replication and cytopathic effect.

These findings show that nicotine worsens SARS-CoV-2 pulmonary infection and have implications for public health policies."

What does this mean? Does pic related and the OP necessarily even contradict each other? I am trying to help family members treat the effects of long haul covid atm.

Why doesn't Tesla use Plutonium?

In a conventional nuclear reactor, one kilogram of Pu-239 can produce sufficient heat to generate nearly 8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.

The standard range for this model is 220 miles on a full charge. If all variables are perfect, that means that Tesla uses about . 22 kWh per mile or 220 watt-hours per mile.

220miles * 22kWh/mile / 8million kWh/kg *1000g/kg = 0.605 grams of Plutonium are needed to power a Tesla

Defibrillator Thump

No.14307832 ViewReplyOriginalReport
When a defibrillator charges, does it actually make a whirring noise? And when the defibrillator discharges, does it actually make a thumping/creaking sound? Or is that the patient rocking from the electric jolt? I want to know this as I'm interested in the medical field and this is rather important.

how bullshit is this? i heard about china wuhan university making an electric jet engine. these electric jet engines uses magnets and shit to make microwaves to vibrate air to make plasma, and that plasma can be used as thrust. so the only fuel is batteries and air. i also heard the US military has been researching this shit and spaceX has been doing similar. red pill me on electric jet engines. is this real or is it all fluff used by countries to wave their penises around to act bad ass? or can we actually see this shit within the lifetime of a millennial? are batteries a limiting factor with this shit if it is possible? and can this shit be used in space?

What is the difference between the sensation of something and what that thing is? We all know that light exists, but does it really? After all this light information tells us that all we are seeing is neurons firing in the brain, therefore light doesn't actually exist. We know it's just an electromagnetic wave which is just a more logically consistent way to symbolize light. Our basic senses don't exist in a non-subjective way, even more logical representation of light as a wave form is just a subjective representation in a way. Could their be a way to sense all things through one channel? Also, are you sure we aren't stuck in some kind machine learning program from another universe where automation became so powerful they had to create it in order to advance technology? How can something be measured in a totally non-subjective way?
