How to I become more knowledgable in my field long term? Should I just read more sciece literature and patents?
Would it be good to make sci threads daily on interesting topics I read so we could talk about them? Seems better than that retard flooding the board with his gait cycle on horses.

what's the evolutionary benefit of having the male prostate in the anus? I can't name any benefit I receive from it other than the pure pleasure of railing myself with a banana or a couple of fingers. Kind of the opposite of helping me reproduce, I just wanna get fucked.

What chemistry is needed to understand combustion and rocket engine propellent design? It seems a lot of chemistry doesn't really matter if this is the goal and so isn't worth spending time on.

Exhaust Gas Temperature - Cylinder Head Temperature - Horsepower

No.14328380 ViewReplyOriginalReport
How come the curves for all of these are out of sync? How is it possible for the cylinder head temperature to go down while the exhaust gas temperature simultaneously rises with a decrease in air-fuel ratio (less fuel), and why is horsepower completely out of sync of either of them?

Peak horsepower is achieved at slightly lower than peak cylinder head temperature, but as you increase the air-fuel ratio (more fuel), horsepower begins to decrease along with cylinder head temperature and exhaust gas temperature. When you decrease the air-fuel ratio (less fuel) after peak horsepower, cylinder head temperature will continue to increase for a while, and exhaust gas temperature will increase for a while after cylinder head temperature begins to decrease, before all three begin to decrease simultaneously.

Give it to me straight... Just how many people are even scientists/comp sci?

How many even get a STEM degree.... my data is 1/3 go to university, 1/5 graduate, 1/10 get a STEM degree, then 1/10 of those get a MSc, then 3/10 of those get another MSc or PhD

At this point 25% of these have either died/dropped out/ alcohol/drugs/ dead end job/ suicided/ terrorism/ etc and are no longer in the game

For 100,000 people.... really only a handful, 4-8 are actually making it?

**I'm using stats from the ONS in the UK where the highest numbers go into university and then also one of the highest science rates
