I think parapsychology should be the study of the apparent sense of paranormal. The fact that people experience this. Not that its real or anything, but some artifact/output of neural machinery that makes up our cognition and consciousness.

Lets say there was a person that could predict someone's actions and thought they could read minds. What's going on is the pattern recognition in their brain can accurately model another person and spit out what that other person going to do, but since this process is so multi dimensional and complex it has to be manifested as some paranormal experience.

I think the ability for a neural system to accurately model some structure even with limited info can far exceed what one could analytically conclude. People who have an affinity to paranormal or spiritual experiences have their analytical ability inhibited. While they can tap into this vast machinery better they are less grounded to someone who is more analytical.

A study into this system would greatly improve people's cognitive ability since it would let them tap into this vast neural network more effectively while remaining analytically grounded.

I'm sure I'm getting some of these concepts wrong so feel free to correct me.

I've seen a lot of firsthand evidence. It would be hard to prove. It all appears as it its slow moving photons, or physical objects made out of a translucent material which molds itself according to thought, emotion, and awareness of it. It is obviously not visible at 400-700nm, though I don't know that its visible at any other wavelength. Even still, it glows various colors.

Lol wtf is this editing. Again, "linguistic word games and rely on politically-hysterical television programs" aren't factoring into my decision here. I already said I don't want to get a vaccine if I don't have to. I already had the virus, I'm trying to find out via peer-reviewed published data whether it would be smarter to get one or not. The OP article seems to suggest that natural immunity exists but is likely inferior to the vaccines in the long term/against variants. Can anyone dispute that?

The idea was to eat a lot of carrots or take a daily high dose of Beta-Carotene to fix my awfully pale skin complexion.

But apparently high doses of Beta-Carotene have been linked with significantly increased risk of cancer and all-cause mortality rates in smokers or ex-smokers (I quit a year ago).

XP in RPGs is one of the biggest lies; 'you' are told how you are levelling up but not how other things in the game are (that's a combination of your level and the difficulty setting AND usually how something intended to keep you out of [or in] some game area functions).

If you are dragging along, yup, throw more XP your way some way. Racing through, give less XP.

And giving the player THE ILLUSION OF CHOICE is the biggest trick of all.

Don't stand out in the sun willy nilly. There's a lot of things you can do. You can stand in the shade, like under a tree or in the woods. You wear a big hat, like those rice farmers do and something to cover your neck like the neck of a jumper. Wearing long sleeves and trousers is obvious. Also, swimming in rivers and such things are both fun, and safe. Even if things like being in the woods or wearing more clothes makes you warmer, it's better than burning. And water is your best bet anyway.

Nothing happened and after a minute I stopped it to put it on and resume.
Why do centrifuges need rotor lids anyway? The centrifugal force will firmly keep the tubes down anyway. It spinned fine without it. I know people even died due to loosely screwed rotor lids flying through walls at high speed, why do we need them?

I used to work on centrifuges (separators) on ships. Use them to remove water and particles from heavy fuel oil.

One day, after assembly for routine maintenance, they started without the lid. Later they came back to the separator room (on the engine room) when there was a low pressure alarm.

The separator lid had opened and the separator disks and core had "wandered" through the tennis court sized room at 5000 RPM (probably weighed 120kg or so) and smashed EVERYTHING.

If someone had been in the room they would have died, not to mention boiling fuel oil everywhere (900C or so).

After that, I always stood behind a vertical beam when starting it up for the first time after maintenance.
