Hello /sci/, i would like to hear this boards opinion on what im about to say.
I believe that due to the very low birthrates of both Europeans and east-asians, scientific progress will not only stop, but actually start regressing in the future (the end result being that the entire world becomes a huge third-world favela). My theory comes from the fact that i believe that there are differences in cognition between diferent human groups.
Do you believe that my prediction is right or wrong?

belief and faith are not words that should EVER apply to science.

You either know what the fuck is going on, or you don't.

that's why peer review is important, because if your work can't be replicated, you don't know what you are doing, or talking about.

Transgender peopel are in fact mentally ill. Gender dysphoria consequence of disbalanced sex hormones during the early stage of brain development - which is why the brain development goes one way while to body goes the opposite way. And the results are permanent incompatibility of the sexual organs versus sexual centres of the brain. To answer your question: trans women shouldnt compete in sports because they have male phisique, and sports are phisique dominated field (unlike eg.chess which is mental dominated).

So, if I had an engine capable of giving such power and infinite fuel, could a fully loaded aircraft carrier with the shape of a rocket land like this?
Or the known materials in the universe wouldn't be strong enough to maintain the shape and integrity of the spaceship?

As the rocket approaches a horizontal position the moment due to the horizontal force become smaller, and so the power output of the engine has to increase to compensate. As such even for a regular size rocket it would be difficult to accomplish. For something the size of an aircraft carrier current materials are several orders of magnitude away from being able to handle that amount of force.

Varicose veins

Good day /sci/. I have the following question.

I am 30 year old (80kg) and from few years i have varicose veins going from behind the hip, down to the back of the calf. At some parts it is more visible, at some it is not. Right leg.

I don't feel pain of any kind, neither problems with the movement, but it's a big vein.

Before 10 years i had a knee surgery, ligament reconstruction and removal of the meniscus on the same leg. Maybe there is a relation between the two factors.

How common is that? Should i really look for a treatment? Are these treatments worth it? Give me your take.

I knew someone who got treatment for it. Always on his feet for work. His was extremely bad leading to high blood pressure and all kinds of issues stemming from that. Feet would grow in size, giant welting on his legs. The treatments worked for him.
