Let's assume they are just arrogant about reality and not out to hurt people, because they cater their followers more than to all implications.
Neil have a point about competing on hormonal levels instead of "gender".
Forcing people (newborns) into one of two predefined slots won't be possible for long, competing in other classes is one proposal. If it is on hormonal makeup the leagues would still look much like today male and female, but edge-cases (natural or "corrected") wouldn't be put in an overly advantageous category.

Stop giving anyone a federally backed loan to pay for college.
Then banks will only approve college loans for students who will probably be able to pay them back.

be certainty with everything we experience--
