is it possible that we will never figure out the physics of our universe since it's simply beyond our comprehension/intelligence?

in the same way an ant can't figure out what us humans are doing around it or can't even comprehend the concept of a human since it's intelligence isn't big enough?

SpaceX to be cancel'd

No.14315889 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Elon's unwillingness to toe the line politically will inevitably result in the end of SpaceX. Joe Rogan was a major media figure at the start of this year and nobody has heard anything about the guy in the past month or so. It like he just disappeared. Same thing happened to a lot of others, Elon won't avoid the same fate.

>be born highly intelligent
>severe ADHD with symptoms such as poor memory retrieval and significantly poor verbal fluency along with stuttering
>everybody thinks I’m a weird moron with mental health issues

It is unbelievable what I’m going through on a day-by-day basis. This wretched disease has been a bottleneck to the entirety of my existence. Should I just fucking go to a psychiatrist and asked to be put on stimulants for the rest of my life?
Can’t stop thinking about taking a dive off some window. I’ve had enough of idiots breezing through any subject while I lag behind because I’m constantly zoned-out.

This shit will probably lead me to Parkinson’s and Lewy Bodies later in life. I already have restless legs syndrome which is linked to fucked up dopamine receptors. Been recognising a lot of my own in Robin Williams.

>inb4 all the “ADHD doesn’t exist” morons that have no idea what they’re talking about

Is quarantine actually effective? Or is it actually dangerous?

No.14346823 ViewReplyOriginalReport
So what I noticed during the coronavirus was that people who went to the hospital seemed more likely to die from the virus. I was sick a few times but never quarantined and went about my daily business as usual.

Is it possible that science still doesn't have a full image of germ theory?

Here's my germ theory, tell me why its wrong:

When ones body is fighting an airborne virus, "fresh air" or "sterilized air" is highly recommended because when you inhale the same un-sterilized atmosphere, you re-inhale pathogens. This increases the length and severity of the symptoms associated with the virus, and ultimately increases the risk of death.

Putting yourself in the hospital and/or quarantine leads to greater and more pro-longed exposure to pathogens, and is thus NOT recommended for survival.

Once an immunity is built, exposure to pathogens should have no effect.

----------

Think of it like this: If you're in a room full of smoke and its suffocating you, it's common sense to leave the room. Coronavirus, and perhaps other viruses, are similar in that they are more sever when inhaled repeatedly in a closed environment.

What's a real number, and how do I implement the data structure of real numbers in C#?
You can use pseudocode if you like.

Why are talks always schedules at like 3 or 4 in the afternoon?

No.14346704 ViewReplyOriginalReport
My department (math) features a lot of different talks and lectures and other events on a fairly regular basis, but they're always scheduled for late in the afternoon. Like 3 or 4pm.

Why do universities always do this? Do people really enjoy going to talks at like 3 pm? I assume it's because in the morning and early afternoon, a lot of students and professors are in class, but I think this is a silly norm to have in place.
