Is ADHD/ADD a real thing? According to some shrink I saw, I have a severe case, but all the symptomatic traits just seem like things that unintelligent people do and habituate, not a specific deficit. It really feels like a medically polite away of telling someone their brain is dull. Do smart people have ADD too?
Did I just get prescribed Adderall because my hard struggle in school and my difficulties with organizing and keeping information in my head merely indicate that I'm dumb and need a stimulant to bring me to a civilized functional level?

Is there any way to increase intelligence at ALL? Please don't feed me false hope pop-sci bullshit or tell me "IQ doesn't matter". I just want a list of science-backed ways that have real world results in increasing what we know as intelligence. Hell, throw me the most radical ones, it can be fucking paying some batshit insane neurosurgeon to operate on me at this fucking point. I am fuming pissed and miserable. I'm tired of being called dumb by my dad. I'm tired of being out-paced by my co-workers. I'm tired of being ridiculed. I just want to fucking get things and not be a complete fucking idiot already. Or am I really just going to have to live with this like I'm crippled or something?

There are 166 emojis and each emoji has 1/166 to be rolled.
Each roll costs 10 points, and you can reroll the same emoji you have already unlocked. When that happens you gain 5 points.
You gain 20 points each 5 minutes.

Given this how much time does it take on average to unlock every emoji?

Why do mathematicians suck at logic, in spite the fact it's the epistemological foundation("proofs") that they incessantly masturbate over? To an outsider, maths look like a glorious abstraction game of sets of problems that boil down all technicalities into maximally compressed structural essentials. But on the inside, it's just a bunch of autists that can't tell a language stereotypy from comprehension, their sight fully drummed out by theorems. When did it come to this? Is this the work of idiots like Russell and Wittgenstein? Is analytic philosophy to blame? When did maths get lobotomized?

PARASITE THREAD

No.14354133 ViewReplyOriginalReport
/sci/ PLEASE HELP ME
Right before taking a shower I took a shit and didn't wipe it as I was going to clean it in the bath. While I was doing so I noticed these things. I don't know if they are actually parasites but I can't think of anything else. They look whitish-transparent and they weren't moving. ARE THESE THINGS PARASITES AND IF YES, WHAT'S THE BEST PROTOCOL TO KILL THIS SPESIFIC TYPE OF PARASITE?
And I do have homosexual desires that have been growing for a month or two, I want to get rid of it completely and if there are curious people about the correlation between parasites and homosexuality, if you can give me a complete protocol and mail to this address:
>fuckingparasites@protonmail.com
I will mail you back with the results when the protocol is done.
Please help me.

Brain damage due to sleep deprivation, is it permanent or temporary?

No.14353938 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Please, /sci/ users, tell me everything you know about sleep deprivation and brain damage due to sleep deprivation. It would also be interesting to know how the brain is able to recover from the damage, I would appreciate it

I don't go to /sci/ that often. Usually just to read what people think about mathematics or different areas of mathematics. But judging by the threads about EGA, philosophy of consciousness from analytical philosophy, the way people talk about statistics and engineering people from /sci/ are extremely intelligent and I find this place filled with people of amazing intelligence

Friends from /sci/ please tell me about sleep deprivation and brain damage due to sleep deprivation

tanda with variable buy-ins

No.14354130 ViewReplyOriginalReport
theres this thing that a group of people i know do where they gather every month for fun, but in addition they all give 100$ to the host, and the host changes every month untill everyone has had their turn. so basically its a stupid way of saving money, or loaning if youre one of the first ppl to get their turn.

now i was thinking about if this would work if everyone could decide how much money they wanted to do it with? like this:
person A wants to do this with 200$
person B wants to do this with 300$
person C wants to do this with 100$

can they play the saving game? how would you calculate what each person should give to each other person every week? i tried to look online and apparently mexicans do this and its called tanda, but of course they use the same amount of $. ive been thinking about this for a while but cant really think of a proper solution
