Hey anon, you finished cleaning up and transforming the data? The prof wants results by tomorrow's lab meeting and I need to run it in the next 3 hrs.

Why are pre-docs even a thing? At least when a grad student gets exploited, it's ultimately for some of their benefit if they want to play the academic game

I am too paranoid to decide for a vaccine

>be me young, not fat, not doing much exercise, in my final year of university
>starting next month, I am not allowed to attend any lectures, labs or exams unless I’m fully vaccinated
>I will not be able to finish if I don’t act now
Ok, I guess I will have to get the shot.
>be me Biontech vaccine
>officially recommended for my age group
>seems to be a reliable German vaccine
> U?ur ?ahin and Özlem Türeci are not big pharma and are working with MRNA for many years
>the biggest risk for young males is getting a myocarditis
What can I do to avoid any bad consequences from a myocarditis?
It can range from being not noticeable and being out of breath fast to dropping dead when doing (extreme) sports. For how long should I avoid doing sports or any heavy lifting?
Anything else I should consider?
>be ne Moderna vaccine
>same as Biontech but with much higher MRNA concentration
>big US pharma
>has unnecessary strong immune response with corresponding symptoms in young people
I guess Biontech just better for me, right?
>Be me J&J
>use monkey virus vector like AZ
>requires only one shot
>officially not recommended for my age group
>biggest risk is getting blood cloths (although it’s higher for females than males)
Blood cloths can result in death if not treated properly early on. I think it’s better to suffer from myocarditis than from blood cloths.
/sci/, do you agree that Biontech makes the most sense in my case?
Unfortunately, I'd like to do a personal checkup at a doctor (do I have antibodies already, so I only need one shot? do I have any other problem right now?), but everyone is too busy and won't even admit new patients and/or schedule appointments for a check-up anytime soon.

When willl people get bored of talking about COVID?

No.13666938 ViewReplyOriginalReport
They've been repeating the same points for 1.5 years. When will they get bored of them?

What puzzles me the most is that people with absolutely no education in the field suddenly feel a need to voice their opinions. Consideration of COVID should be limited to those that are interested in Biology & Chemistry, be they experts or amateurs.

I absolutely abhor the natural sciences, and at this point I tell my father to fuck off each time he tells me to get a jab because there's some new wave or whatever shit. He doesn't have any education in natural sciences either, so I don't see why he is suddenly so interested in them.
I'm waiting for Novavax, I made that decision the moment it was announced, and that was the only time at which I discussed COVID in any way.

Seriously, I DON'T CARE ABOUT FDA OR WHATEVER ELSE, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP.
