Wanting to understand everything.

No.13674609 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hi, I'm currently reading a Precalculus textbook, I enjoy quite a lot but something is stressing me out: "I always want to understand everything fully and rigorously", the problem is that most precalculus books aren't rigorous, so when the author makes an assumption, I try to prove it.

You may think that this is a good habit, but I don't think so, it's making me a really slow learner and I sometimes spend hours trying to prove something rigorously.

The problem is that if I'm unable to understand something in depth, I feel like I can't move on to the next thing, even if I'm capable of doing all the problems.

So here's my question: "Can you be successful at mathematics even if you can't be rigorous sometimes?", I like to think that all the blind spots would clear up once I study calculus, analysis and the like, but I don't know if it's the case.

I recently was given antibiotics for Lyme disease, which I was told may have negatively affected my gut microbiome. I've been getting the feeling that I should bite dirt/lick railings/eat random plants/etc, and I think it might be related. I'm considering taking either soil or wood being decayed by Turkeytail fungus and sterilizing it as little as possible, to eliminate only parasites, if that could be done.

Any cool possible outcomes? What data should be tracked? I would predict an increase in "energy" due to more efficient digestion and potential increased insulin resistance (or, realistically, crazy shits due to fiber, and not much else)

Couldn’t this have massive consequences?

What about people who can’t afford it? We’ll have unfair advantages on every level. I’m even more worried about it leading to mutants. It’s playing God

Coincidence edition

No.13666565 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
What are the best vaers copes for what is happening?

>15.000 deaths associated with the covid vaccines

Similar situation in the EU equivalent to vaers.

So far I have only heard the following arguments:

>its a coincidence bro, temporal correlation doesn't mean causation!
>you are using the data wrong, its for wiping your ass, not giving alarm
>100x vaers deaths = 100x more people get vaccinated (wrong)
>we are vaccinating elderly now, as opposed to every year with the flu shot
>vaers has been spammed by anti vaxers (anti vaxers didn't bother to spam it before)
>the people being upset about vaers didn't even know it existed before (literally a non argument)

Is there even a single attempt to explain officially and reasonably, why we should ignore the canary in the coal mine, which is what vaers is supposed to be, a fail-safe warning system?
