Trying to portrait him as a cult leader, doing a research of cult of personality about Jesus is probably the most reddit thing I could ever conceive of. What about you read the Bible? Start with the Gospel of Mark. Actually educate yourself instead of drawing pre-conceived conclusions about something you have no idea about.
The success of the west is in deep part because of Jesus Christ. Even today, the west has most of their morals based in Christianity. The reason why most people feel sick, off-railed and unhappy today is because modern culture and media is pressing hard against the moral values of Christianity everyone inherited from, yet are blind to completely blind to it.
