>How can we send some information to the past? We can't. This is actually a good thing as it allows us to move on with our lives instead of putting an endless amount of effort on fixing the past. It saves a lot of time, energy and money to understand sunk cost.

Clearly, it's not caustic enough to kill me, but is it leaking from my brain or coming from one of my organs? It smells nice enough, I always liked the smell of chemicals. Ether and acid alcohol are my favorites.

I have a student, who has autism, being capable of incredible mental tricks in order to understand mathematic equations, but requires a strict visual representation/visual learning in able to comprehend it. For example, the number 1 to him is a "dot" and 2 being two "dots".
3 being three "dots", but he visualizes connecting lines between the dots, which would be a triangular shape.
4 being a square and so forth.
Very reminiscent of ancient Babylonian or Akkadian representations of numbers. He is also innately(I think anyway) associating numbers with letters or alpha-numerals, like the Ancient Greeks and Hebrew language.
I digress, as the main reason for this question is, how am I able to elaborate on the hexadecimal or base 16 numeral system to him, in a visually friendly way similar to how I've described his approach to base 10.
He's a damn wizard when it comes to geometry and seems to be tied to his visual learning of numbers/maths/etc. His overall approach seems almost identical to how Pythagoras or the Pythagoreans would approach mathematics.
Is there a geometric or "creative" way to visualize and understand hexadecimal numeracy?

Binary/decimal/hexadecimal/whatever base, are just ways of writing down your numbers. They're not some esoteric thing. Your numbers don't change just because you wrote them a different way, like if you wrote 2 in Hindi, it doesn't stop being a prime. Much like how if I call you by a different name, you're still the same person.
The only reason we chose base 10 for our numbers is because we have 10 fingers.

If out of each development of life on a habitable planet, 5% of those go on to spawn intelligence, we are probably alone in the galaxy for now. But this video is about the fact that our best chance for contact is 4 dimensional. Basically we intercept communications from a long dead civilization, then we eventually launch our knowledge into space and by the time the next civilization develops, we’re long gone, and it continues.

The Mediocrity Principle is a corollary of the Copernican Principle. We know that it is incorrect in the time dimension. But we still have every reason to believe it holds otherwise. In other words, we might be privileged observers of the universe in regards to the fact that we're able to observe more of it than we would have, had we been born anywhere in the universe a few billion years before or after our time. Considering the life of the universe may eventually be measured in quadrillions of years or more, it is pretty lucky to have been born in just the first 15 billion, when everything is still close and energetic, but shit has calmed down enough to be able to live and see everything.

I get time dilation - a hypothetical clock consists of two parallel mirrors with a photon that bounces between them. The photon makes the round journey in 1 second. If the clock is moving, the photon travels in a diagonal path - a longer distance -and it therefore takes longer to bounce between the mirrors. Therefore, from our perspective, each second on the moving clock is thus longer than on the stationary clock.
What I don't get is how, even though both clocks are experientially (if they were conscious) living the same amount of time, the moving clock returns "younger" (if we say the moving clock's velocity was close to the speed of light).
This is probably a really dumb question, but I literally started researching physics today.

The moving clock is allowed to consider itself stationary so its time between photon bounces is always 1 second, and it thinks the stationary clock is moving and time is going slower for it instead.
