Are recessive genes appearing in later generations basically a meme? I have literally never seen a kid who is darker than both parents.

Pic related, the dad is 1/4 Indonesian-- he looks white and his kids look white.

Ok so if death is non existence of the self then being dead is like how it was before you were born and since you were in that state once and then became alive there must be a chance that after you die your consciousness could reappear somewhere in the universe right? At least until the heat death of the universe.

Thoughts /sci/?

I know IQ is absolute pseudoscience, but does anyone else find it odd that you can't find the actual Stanford Binet tests that are actively used anywhere online?
Seriously, how do they keep them out of public circulation so well? Is it like a copyright thing?

Mitosis-like phenomena observed in UAPs

No.14378487 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Massimo Teodorani, an italian astrophysicist, released a paper on the so called UAPs (i.e. Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) where he states that, according to his observations, around these objects there are small spheres multiplying as if they were cells and giving the phenomena an appearance of pulsation or inflation.

>The inflation is not due to the expansion of the spheres themselves but to the sudden appearance of many smaller spheres that gather together around a common barycentre and that multiply and “reproduce” themselves in a very short period of time following a mode that is very similar to cellular multiplication.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that there will never be conscious AI like there will never be time machines, teleporters and FTL travel?

>First Light says it's hit nuclear fusion breakthrough with no fancy lasers, magnets.
https://go.theregister.com/feed/www.theregister.com/2022/04/07/first_light_nuclear_fusion/

>Rather than rely on expensive lasers, complicated optical gear, and magnetic fields, as some fusion reactor designs do, First Light's equipment instead shoots a tungsten projectile out of a gas-powered gun at a target dropped into a chamber.
