How much coffee/water can a keyboard sustain? Why is it if I spill a little bit of coffee on it, it's okay, but a lot it is not? What exactly is going on here? Shouldn't a little bit still short-circuit it? No I am not joking and yes I am retarded.

elon is having his own private /sci/ humor thread in his twitter. i guess he wants to post moar now that he is making content for his own business. i like to imagine he intentionally dumbs down his sense of humor for this type of thing in hopes of broadening his appeal, but maybe hes just like that.

Retarded way of saying fractions

No.14382662 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Why the hell do American (and I assume people in the west in general) say "one over 20" and other such things when saying fractions? That tells you absolutely nothing about the actual mathematical relationship between the numerator and denominator of the fraction, and instead literally just describes how the fraction is written. Now compare that to saying something like "one [divided] by 20", since one is being divided by 20. Makes much more sense, conveys some actual mathematical information, and doesn't sound ass backwards either.

Got a uni project, where I need to conduct multivariate data analysis on the results of an experiment. I cba to figure out some fancy at-home experiment that would signify the use of PCA and PLS, so I really hope someone here got some good ideas.

Since it's a multivariate experiment, it needs to have at least 3-4 design variables, and 1 response variable that can be measured.

Any good ideas for a multivariate physics experiment at home?
