Maybe, but that upper limit is far enough beyond humanity's own intellect that we can't really say where that limit is, if it even exists at all.
It DOES, however, give us a set of problems that neither humans nor AI can solve. Don't let that fool you, though; some problem being impossible to solve doesn't prevent you from getting it right like 99% of the time, or solving a subset of that problem, or some other workaround like those.

I've wondered this, how come I can tell certain sets of problems will or won't halt without an additional input? This comes up in electronic versions of Magic the Gathering, infinite combos (controlled or uncontrolled) are common in certain formats and tend to be easy to understand in paper but don't work electronically due to said problem.

What is it that humans have which machines don't? Sometimes we make assumptions about situations given previous encounters but it's often the case that someone inspects a set of conditions for an infinite combo and can comes to the correct conclusion about how it functions if not interrupted.

Yes there is, there is a lot of profit, the hospitals are overflowing with all the profit from long term care and ventilation, they just can't keep up with demand of treating via natural infections instead of largely asymptomatic inoculation.

It's simple induction. to make it more simple, replace f(f(a)) with g(), and replace C:=f(f(1))-3f(0) with some constant, let's call it C. Then, g(a) + C = g(a+1), aka g(a-1)+C = g(a). Expanding out one more step, g(a-2) + C + C = g(a-2) + 2C = g(a). Expanding out again, g(a-3) + 3C = g(a). I think you can see the pattern, and continuing this until we reach a = 0 (which we will, since a is an integer), we get g(0) + Ca = g(a).
