You would have to get rid of subtraction, negation, and direction too because you could not resolve 1-1 or 1-2 without zero, and you can't change direction without passing through 0.
Maybe Romans had it figured out with their numerals after all.

The mean value is just the integral of the signal averaged over the period, as in:

Now, the RMS is just the L2 norm of the signal over its region of definition, that is:
$RMS(x) = \sqrt{||x||_{L^2}} = \left( \int_0^T |x(t)|^2 dt \right)^2$
Now compute this integral using the same "geometrical lógic" i used to compute the first integral
