So let me get this straight . . .

Physicists discovered some cosmic phenomena they couldn't explain so they decided to concoct this idea of a new type of matter that is intangible, pervasive, with all kinds of convenient properties for their observations instead of just modifying existing theories of gravity?

The hubris among physicists is hilarious! This whole field should be purged when dark matter is eventually thrown away.
