About 10-15 years ago, one teacher told me that gravity was weaker in Canada, and that's why high jump athletes do better here

I remember going home that day and googling it, but I didn't find anything.

I think the maximum variation is about 0.05m/s2, or about 0.5%, so it would be surprising if there was a noticeable difference in high jump performance

i know this is a talking point with covid but has this always been the case with the flu or whatever other infections? taking a vaccine only prevents that person from developing symptoms, but it's not like the virus itself stops existing once it comes in contact with a vaccinated person?
maybe im retarded for only just now putting 2 and 2 together, but i cant find any articles/studies talking about this, only that vaccines prevent YOU from getting strong symptoms, but it never addresses if a vaccinated person could transmit their gift to an unvaccinated person that would then suffer symptoms.

the most basic unit of life was probably RNA surrounded by a lipid bilayer and some other stuff in solution - it has been shown that both RNA synthesis and polar lipid synthesis can be achieved just by the environment (and polar lipids spontaneously assemble into micelles/bilayers). Since RNA is catalytic, almost anything can happen from there - you can achieve many necessary reactions just with RNA - even RNA synthesis.

Mostly weight and cost, especially weight. You can make an arbitrarily thick layer of armor, but at some point it's too heavy to be man-portable. No, nothing you can carry around on your chest is going to reliably stop a .50 cal or higher. Even if you did, all that energy is still being transferred to your gut, just spread out over a larger area (the back surface of the armor plate).

No, nothing stops even regular bullets now when more than a few rounds hit a plate.

Bullet proof armor is just for "feels" and nothing else really. It makes people FEEL safer, but doesn't do shit against most round and especially not against fire, explosives, etc.
