Anon is required to sell atleast $50 of candy bars There are infinite houses in the neighborhood, and each house is guaranteed to buy a bar. Anon has bar A which sells for $2, bar B which sells for $5, and bar C which sells for $10. The chance for each house to buy each bar is always 0.6, 0.3, and 0.1 (the houses will always buy something). Anon will go house to house until he has atleast 50 dollars, what is the probability that Anon will visit n houses?
I have no idea how to model the distribution of this random variable, any advice? thanks

Brainlet nag fig here. I started taking bupropion but can't *begin* to understand how may tale 2-4 weeks to start working.
If I take some drug shouldn't my body feel a shock effect because it's not used to having this much of some chemical? Shouldn't I feel a dopamine high?

>hebbian learning
Why is it not applied in modern neural networks if it captures how neurons work biologically? All good results are from back propagation variants. Is hebbian learning a meme theory? What's going on here?

Acromegaly

How come excessive GH production from a pituitary gland tumor causes facial bones to grow in adulthood? Bodybuilders take GH to gain mass but don't display acromegaly-like facial changes. There must be an additional factor that causes the bones in the face to respond to GH with growth.

>relearning high school math before diving into calculus
>using pic related
>the quizzes/problems are all extremely easy straightforward applications of formulas
>no big hairy story problems like what you'd get in a college course
should i be using a textbook instead or am i just overthinking it?
i was going to use a real textbook for calculus anyway.

I've been reading a lot about time lately. The illusion of time. Something occurred to me, a very weird thought. Does this actually have any basis or any way it could be proven scientifically?

I was thinking that all moments are eternal and occur simultaneously. In other words you never leave this exact moment. The passage of time that you think has happened is a result of the brain's memory function.

Sort of analogous to if you just popped into existence this second with a backlog of fake memories. But this being true of every single moment in time, you never actually leave any moment you're in to reach the next.

You are dead right now and also not born yet. Yet you are here alive. It's fucked up as hell, but it makes sense to me. It also to me explains some other oddities in time, I'm compsci not physics, but from what I know of the quantum eraser it is like the light "travelled back in time", retroactively changing the result. But if the moment of observation by the machine (or whatever) has already happened, the result is determined before it happened as there isn't any such thing as a before.

What’s the best way to lay my remains to rest after I die so that I fossilize successfully? Fuck cremation or being put in a box full of chemicals, I want to be found millions of years later

I am not saying it's completely wrong. But half-wrong. Think about it first. Then read the rest of my post.

Okay, here we go. I'll call the Lords L and the non-Lords C for Commoner.
>LLC would result in C immediately knowing he's C and go through the C portal. The other Ls would realize how he came to that conclusion and go through the L portal.
>LCC would result in all of them waiting for a bit. The Cs would then come to the conclusion that neither of them Lords, because then the LLC scenario would have happened and one of them would have gone through the C portal. In that scenario 2 (!) players go through the right portal first.
>CCC would result in all of them waiting for a long time and thinking each scenario through. They would then realize none of them is seeing the LCC scenario, which means all 3 (!) would go through the C portal.

The image would be improved if it said 2 or 3 players would know which portal is right. The only scenario where only 1 player goes through the portal, before the others, doesn't require him to think for long. Therefore that certainly can't be the right answer.
The CCC scenario relies on player 1 thinking his teammates are thinking logically. It also goes a level deeper. It relies on him thinking that his teammates think all of them, including him, are thinking logically. But why then wouldn't they come to the same conclusion as him and also go through the portal?
It's however reasonable to assume that based on human differences someone would be a bit braver or think quicker and would make the first move. But based on that LCC is also a plausible scenario. One C might be a bit quicker than the other C.

I hope I mindfucked you now and made you confused about what scenario is the right one. Just remember what I said in the beginning. Don't start overthinking it now.
