The way people describe the colonization of space is almost akin to magic. >To live on the moon or Mars or on a asteroid belt you'd just need to make infinite resources out of nothing which you can just magically turn these resources into something without the need of factories and that all the downsides of living in space can be negated by meme technology.
Lmao If it's that doable and easy to live in places that are inhospitable to human life then go colonize the sea or sky or the inside of the volcano. Funny how these examples are technically even more easier to colonize than places in space.
hey /sci/, I rarely, if ever, see architecture-related threads on here. I'll be starting an image-heavy thread, but I encourage any thoughts on architecture, real estate, city planning/transportation, sustainability, etc.
Starting topic: natural/alternative building. Why the fuck isn't it way more common? I get the sense it's a bureaucracy thing, something about it doesn't sit right with boomer city planners and council members. Institutional bias against natural building?
Both progressives and conservatives should oppose the taboo against cousin marriage. It's a industrial age plot to keep relatives separated, and create rootless people who are easier to manipulate.
It is against traditional family values and it is incompatible with liberal, progressive views on family and sexuality as well. There is literally no reason for it to remain in today's society.
The CDC now says that everyone under 40 should wait 2 month between the first and second doses of the vaccine. Why should I ever trust them again after they forced bad science on everyone under the pretense of "emergency" for a virus that was known from day 1 to be by and large harmless to this population?
