Can someone explain why we haven't lifted all covid restrictions globally now that it's become more harmless than the flu? People in europe are still forced to wear masks everywhere and asia is bringing back lockdowns. None of this makes any sense from a scientific standpoint.

>height is determined by mothers height
>having a manlet son is a genetic death sentence, highest suicide rate, lowest earnings, lowest chance of sex etc
>child will also inherit frame of mother
>having a son with a narrow frame, narrow shoulders and low bodyweight is a genetic death sentence, highest suicide rate etc
>only attracted to petite women under 5'5"
>
What is the scientific explanation for this? Shouldn't men be seeking out tall women with broad shoulders ?
*Also almost all men are only attracted to thin and short women too, female height is negatively related to sex/marriage/children
Pic related, if you have children with a woman that looks like this, your child is going to be a manlet subhuman, and have a narrow frame making him extremely unlikely to reproduce, yet you are attracted to the woman... ??? wha t the hell

It is a mathematically impossibility that life and DNA were created by chance without agency.
Before some dumbshit janny bans me for "god vs science" thread - this has nothing to do with god vs science; it is about origin of information and it's scientific likelihood, whether it was god, aliens or random chance. My assertion is entirely relevant to science and this board.

I often struggle with the simplest things. Here's one.
Why exactly does the proton's path curve in the electric field? There's no force acting on it in the x direction so its horizontal velocity should remain constant forever.
This is what my brain says should happen. As a matter of fact, I don't think the proton stops moving, it will hit the negatively charged plate and still continue moving, while grinding on the plate.

How come the maximum heart rate is estimated using age only, and not also resting heart rate? The maximum safe heart rate during rigorous exercise is a function of 80% of the MHR so it implies to me that it would be 160BPM for a 20 year old to exercise safely, regardless of the resting heart rate. That is 3x the heart rate of a 20 year old who rests at 50BPM while only 1.5x the heart rate of a 20 year old who rests at 100BPM and it shouldnt be considered equally safe? Shouldnt someone with a tripled heart rate be much more concerned?
