Has anyone here experimented with different memory techniques for knowledge? It seems bad to try and gain a wide swathe of knowledge when you're not actually sure whether it's going to stick with you or not.

There are animals which are not trichromatic, but rather tetrachromatic. Would their experience utilize of the same qualia or would they know an extra colour? If the latter, the 'unknown colour' would be mixed with every other possible colour of their visible spectrum, would that mean their qualitative experience would include absolutely none of our colour perceptions?
