There have been a few experiments where one's brain is made to think a fake arm is part of their body. Has a similar experiment been done with someone else's real arm?
A question for my /med/ bros here..
Hypothetical: let's say that I had a fair sized knife plunged into the palm of my hand. Would I be at risk of permanent damage? Like if I was a guitar player, would this be a potential thing? Or would I pretty much be ok? Are there nerves that would prevent the optimal functioning once I healed with enough time? Hypothetical
