To me, space travel and the hope of what might lay beyond the stars fills me with hope. Like a promise of heaven, i hope humanity can truly enter it someday.
To survive we'll cooperate as one species. We'll leave the earth for a promise of something greater. No more selfishness, division, religion, black people or property.

Why do linguists claim that r in English is pronounced as postalveolar when it clearly isn't? Are they stupid, deluded, or just too lazy to bother trying to standardize transcription of the real place of articulation?
