I guess religious people hope they get answers after death but I'm pretty sure there is not going to be any. The best science has is "big bang" but that explains nothing

I'm pursing a degree in Computer Science, but I genuinely don't feel like a scientist. I could blame Imposter Syndrome, but it feels much stronger. Like I'm destined not to be a scientist of any kind. I come from a poor environment that doesn't care about the stuff I think about, so I'm never reinforced to be scientifically minded. What do I do?hm82m

Are there some /sci/-approved popular science channels? Like, the actually good ones, which also include the science part.
I've been watching pic related for quite a while, and their vids are amazing. Although uploads are not very frequent, and I've pretty much went through all of their stuff.

These vaccines are truly amazing that they can now be rewritten so quickly we really are entering a new age of medicine.

why did fireflies evolve to have lights on their ass. wouldn't that make them easier food? did birds choose the weak light fireflies to eat so the strong light ones were all that was left and they can eat easier now?
