It's a classic calculus book from the 30s, so that's what you get. It uses older style language and doesn't introduce set theory like Courant & John. Like I said, Apostol is the best balance if you don't want to learn full real analysis. If you've taken calculus before then Zorich is good or some other analysis book.

I really wanted to like Apostol because it seemed to tick all the right boxes for me, but I don't understand why he doesn't use Riemann sums. His definition of the integral using step functions is like a retarded version of the Darboux integral.

I don't think that's a reason to not like the book. It is still rigorous. If you're that concerned you can use Spivak, but I still think Apostol offers the best general treatment, and covers more material with the 2nd volume (though that omits a few proofs due to 'difficulty'). But that's fine, just get Apostol's analysis book after or some other book.

These elegant books by Apostol/Courant/Spivak/etc. have their place, but they're too incomplete with regard to the Calc I - Calc III curriculum. I'm a purist too, but I don't want some Stewart/Anton/Larson Pajeet on YouTube being able to integrate something in thirty seconds mechanically while I stare at it and go "mmmhmmm, let's see here."
My advice: Start with a typical undergrad thick calculus textbook, and later read the more elegant takes.

Well thank you, but I'm not sure it makes sense to say that anything I mentioned could be used "against me" since I haven't picked a side on the issue. I merely presented an opinion that there is reason to believe aliasing represents a topic of concern, and possibly a significant topic of concern.

A model would not answer your valid interest I agree with. The answer to your interest would involve accurately reproducing past CO2 levels with enough fidelity to compare with our current abilities. If we could do that, we could eliminate or confirm those potential/"my own theorized" ideas I represented with the red lines I added to that graph.

I'm just a guy who sees patterns. It seems like those red lines I added to that graph really really should be there. I can't explain why of course, but can't ignore it none the less and aliasing is a valid excuse of why they, if they should exist, might not not be there.

I used to when I worked at a large law firm. They hired a travel medicine company to come in and give the shots to anyone who wants them. At the time our top rated attorneys billed at $1200/hr so even one missed day of work was a lot of money. Plus most of them were older so flu recovery would take longer. No one pushed the rest of us to get the flu shot but it was one of those things that was made super easy to do as they set up in the room next to the cafeteria. But since leaving that job, I haven't bothered, even when the pharmacy at the supermarket I go to had them for free.
