What does /sci/ think of biophysics, as opposed to astro or condensed matter?

My advisor for my (undergrad) thesis dropped out so I'm looking for a new advisor/project, and it's looking like I might be joining a biophysics lab. It's pretty sizeable here (very well known, prestigious), very much so on the applied side. I plan on going into industry after graduation so I'm wondering what kind of doors this could open for me. More generally, what should I expect?

How do egalitarians respond to this?

Is this the final nail in the coffin, proving once and for all that IQ differences between races are at least partially due to genetics?

Intelligence baffles me. The brain is so amazingly complex, has millions of neurons and can perform unbelievably complicated tasks. Why is it so hard to remember a sequence of 20 numbers? It seems like such a simple task. I can imagine 20 objects in my head, but why is my working memory so bad? Surely it should be possible to use all that latent brainpower to remember longer sequences?

>Glassy-eyed confused face all the time

>Spouts obvious common-knowledge medical info one could just look up online like it's profound
>Gets half the bullshit he talks about wrong because he's a family physician who doesn't understand nuances of actual medical specialties
He's like the NDT of the medical world. Is this how Drs are in the USA? Embarrassing.

I made a meme, you may not like it, but this is what peak knowledge looks like.

The metaphysical proof for the big bang has been published in 520 B.C.

>apply for job
>it requires you to do a psychometric/fit horoscope bullshit
>what do you do when X happens, would you interrupt your boss in a meeting... all bullshit questions
>the test gives me a rank of roles I would """"fit""""
>surprisingly #1 is my actual job
>#2 and #3 are jobs I would like to do
>bottom of list is RH manager that, of course, I know I'm not fit to do

Do these stupid assignments have 1% of accuracy? In my head there were just horoscope bullshit that someone manages to sell for millions to a clueless large company.
