I just saw this experiment done, and it made me realize that this is the exact same function that causes volcanos to erupt. There's trapped co2 in the earth and acid rain eventually seeps into the mountain and causes the explosion of released gas. It's just so obvious.

Vaccines for a generally non-lethal and/or crippling virus on par with influenza are intrinsically more suspect because they are not preventing as significant an injury as one would experience with ebola, which had like 30% fatality rate. Once you materially diminish that most primary reason behind a vaccine, other prevailing yet non-essential reasons are necessarily of greater proportion behind its development.

But I don't laugh about the survival rate, to me it's the same as motor traffic. Sure, some people are gonna die in a traffic accident, and I certainly wont laugh if it hits one of my family members, but that doesn't mean I want to ban all cars. I need help with finding a topic to write about

The prompt I was given was to write about a time that I made a decision based on data.

I was thinking about writing about why I chose not to be a doctor, or about the crypto boom / bust cycle, or about my motivation for even applying to grad school.

Problem is, I think all of these topics are stupid. Was hoping for a third party to confirm my feelings or give me affirmations.

yes academia is lame, but can you not see that this society practically demands it? no such thing as a free lunch, I may be able to get a job without academia, but unless I am busting my ass producing extraordinary work, I will have a hard time finding that job, negotiating a fair wage, and getting promotions.

Now lets talk about the lameness of having a job and working for someone else. Almost as lame as academia, except for the fact you get paid. Regardless of that, you are someone's bitch and do not get to make the ultimate decisions.

Finally, creating something yourself, sure you get to make decisions, but you risk bankrupcy unless those decisions are totally in line with what the target audience wants. You are someone's bitch no matter what, you are getting fucked over one way or another, any path is valid as long as you enjoy the ride.

GPT-4 as far as I have it is incorporating ideas such as:
What if the user's request is flawed?
What if the prompts are flawed?

When GPT-3 writes fiction its pretty amazing.
There was an exercise done where testers wrote letters to historic figures and GPT-3 had to respond as the historic figure.
Again its pretty amazing to read some of the responses.
