Milikans oil drop experiment was a replication crisis in physics. It seems so hard to do it right im still not sure that's how the electron charge was measured.
For years many who replicated it lied about the results to try to match milikans number.

Isn't that what radiotherapy is? using radiation to the point where it makes us sick and does damage to our cells. We target the area of the cancer and do damage to it. And then commonly you would go through chemotherapy.

This is an incredibly oversimplified view of neuropharmacology. There are dozens of distinct serotonin receptors throughout your body all doing different and sometimes contradictory things. You likely don't even need to involve the serotonin system to accomplish what you're after.

If all you're looking for is a clean, quick mood lift without side effects, a low dose of xenon is what you want. It's incredibly expensive though so nitrous oxide is the next closest, but you can't use it too frequently because you'll develop a nasty B12 deficiency. Also, any time you inhale a gas you should make sure you're inhaling at least 20% oxygen.

Serotonin cannot cross the blood-brain barrier. You can eat all the pure serotonin you want and none of it will ever make it to the synaptic cleft. Which is why drugs have to be designed to cross the blood-brain barrier and increase the effect of serotonin in an indirect way by keeping it in the synaptic cleft longer or forcing the neurons to release more serotonin.
