How does what seems to be a non-physical thing (consciousness) emerge from a physical system? Unless consciousness is physical? A state of matter perhaps? Or is it something more fundamental, perhaps a property of all matter in some sense, we're just so complex that we can contemplate not only the things around us but even ourselves? So then, what are we? These are genuine questions, please if science does have anything to say on this has been empirically proven I will accept it. Have there been any studies? I am not a theist btw, I am agnostic.

I think this right now is a bunch of things in a singularity stretched out in a construct of space and time. The universe has already happened start to finish but to appear in sequence you need to create time. Without time there can't be divisions in moments. A ball being thrown in the singularity is in every position during that throw at once. The appearance of motion and many other things requires that time exists.

Somethingness requires that space exists, because if there is no space there can't be division and it's all in a singularity. In a singularity there can't be experience because experience requires duality which means division. There has to be a self and other, so like the seen element of the color blue and the person seeing the color blue, which is dualistic and divided.

There is space and time because without it there could only be eternal nothingness, since all somethings rely upon division into duality.

Consciousness is illusory. You aren't experiencing consciousness you are experiencing perceptions only. Which requires duality, which is why there appears to be a consciousness thing there when on inspection simply can't be found.

You can attack this problem differently I think.
Consider what process created the physical systems instead.
Say you come up with a bunch of alternatives, one of those being a process operating unguided by random and natural causes. Now assume this is actually true.
What would that imply?
Do the same thing with your alternative processes, what do they imply?
Do the implications differ in any way or do they imply the same thing?

There can't be a story without experience and there can't be experience without duality of self/other and there can't be duality of self/other without space because without space there cannot be division.

For the story to unfold these elements are needed. The story must exist because nothingness is paradoxical. It is paradoxical because nothingness could only be prevented from being somethingness if it was finite. If it was finite there must exist a boundary or limit. Boundary and limit are not nothingness. In the same vein as the idea of choice and free will. If someone asks what you want for dinner, you hear that thought, and then the next thought appears being "fish" or whatever that might be. Both are just thoughts, before the thought was observed (before it even appeared in the unconscious parts of the mind), it wasn't anywhere. There HAS to be a point where the thought just comes into being from nothing. It's the only way it makes any logical sense.

It appears as though there is a chooser but it's just thought 1 (the question) then thought 2 (the answer). There's no middle man. No ghost in the machine. No chooser. Just two thoughts in succession.

This differs from the idea of causality but I don't know. There feels to be something similar about the lack of choice/free will and the entire notion of cause and effect that I intuit but can't grasp.

What vaccine? there is several. Regarding Pfizer and moderna i am not confident that the delivery mechanism is safe. For AZ vaccine i know it's not safe since a decade worth of white papers all mention adenoviral vector therapy and thrombosis as well as myocarditis.

I'm a thirdoid, and our department tasked us with enhancing an algorithm for our thesis. I'm confused about what tractable topic is there for me to pick. Since the department here is equally clueless as well. I self-studied some maths from linear algebra, algebra, and real anal, so I guess I have the bare minimum for mathematical maturity, I can backread some stuff if I miss anything.

Topic: computational imaging for panoramic photography

Prior art: People use cell phone cameras to take a series of barely overlapping images and after 360 degrees the phone stitches these together into one image. The result isn't too shabby but could be better.

Improvement 1: Take instead a series of images, all overlapping at least 50 percent with the prior image and get at least double the images taken so that every pixel has two images to it. Then use computational super resolution to stitch together a panoramic image with better quality.

Improvement 2: use multiple main cameras to add extra details in areas of interest.

I have more ideas if this is interesting.
