You are a wizard. You want to create a system in within a vacuum chamber that is at 0K.

Normally, you have to supply the entire internal energy: that is, the heat energy and the work required to hold the thing together. However, let's say that you create your system in a chamber with an atmosphere - a gas, so to speak. That way, whatever you're creating within your system is mechanically coupled to the gas. Now, if you want to create your system, you'll still need to supply the heat, but thanks to the mechanical coupling you no longer have to provide the work: the atmosphere within your chamber does that for you.

So, the energy you need to provide is no longer the full internal energy: it's the enthalpy. You're basically getting a discount in energy costs.

Are introductory physics classes the ultimate filter?
I've been getting my ass kicked for 8 weeks in this class and don't understand jack shit.
I read the book, read the pre-class notes, take notes. But I'm still doing worse than the three /Sci/Chad fuckers who just show up to class and fuck around the entire time.

Well there you have it, obviously you're gonna have a harder time understanding something that's completely new to you compared to someone that just spent several years learning it. Intro physics was super easy for me since went directly to uni from highschool, meanwhile an older friend said he struggled a lot with it back when he studied it since he'd been working for a few years before going to uni. He went on to finish his degree (in applied physics) and later became a professor, meanwhile I dropped out and am currently a neet.
