Is the "brain stops developing at 25" purely a myth? I heard that it never truly stops developing until death, and most of it's crucial development is done at around age 15. It seems like a cope for people who never want to grow up.

Is it me? Or do people who try to support a claim by emphasizing the science side of it (ex.: "studies say...", "according to research...", "through peer-reviewed study...", etc) only have a surface-level, at best undergrad grasp of the concepts?
