Redpill me on cutting libido

No.14377077 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I am one month and half away to finish a long cut. I am seeing my abs for the first time, thanks /fit/. On the other hand I feel asexual af. I can f*CK my gf whenever I want, but I just don't want it. I was a degenerate BDSM enthusiast beforehand, and this feels emasculating.
I read that incrementing my fat macros (especially saturated fat) and lowering carbs will help me. Is that true? What other thing can I try to fix this?

Info:
Eating 1728 kcal daily
1 g protein per lb of body weight
Taking multivitamins
179 cm / 67.8 kg / 12.2% (us navy method)
Ask me anything bros

I'm a math major and thus far I have bearly done any exercises and only required homework to pass my classes. Instead I read the textbook, and if I'm confused I try to work out theorems on my own. I used to self study in this manner while in highschool to because it made progress faster. Is this method doomed in the long run? I feel like my problem solving skills will go down the drain.

Physics vs. Biochem vs. Mechatronics

No.14375472 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I have to choose between Physics, Biochem, or Mechatronic Engineering for my Bachelor's and I'm kind of stuck (unfortunately no NatSci/combined honours in STEM at my uni).

Physics is more fundamental and I like that it involves advanced mathematics, but it is also more 'abstract', current research is 'weird' (maybe except condensed-matter) and generally speaking I think it would be too hard for me and I would go mad trying to comprehend something like QED.

Biochemistry seems easier, more 'grounded' and biochem research seems more applicable and I like doing labs, but the course barely involves any advanced mathematics and I think I would feel 'incomplete' without it?

Mechatronics is of course different in that it is an engineering degree, meaning more and better paid job opportunities with just a Bachelor's, but less opportunities for research and academic work, but I like that it involves some C programming (which is something I want to learn anyway) and is widely applicable in fields both related to physics (e.g. space engineering) and biology (biomechatronics, implants, etc.), but I think I want something more fundamental and with a more straight-forward progression to PhD and then academia.

I'll probably leave it up to a coin toss in the end...

Should i pursue a PhD?

No.14376278 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm 23M with an IQ of 133, i got a bachelors and a masters in chemistry with a high gpa but i failed on landing a job since i live in a corrupt 3rd world country, so now I'm unemployed and just rotting away in my room. My dream was always to become a scientist and work on drug discovery, but the path i followed and worked so hard on led me nowhere and made me pretty depressed. I'm not sure what i should do next? should i double down on my field and pursue a PhD (i would possibly still be unemployed even after completing it) or should i quit this dream/field once and for all and purse something with better job opportunities. I'm very confident in my ability to learn a new skill (like programming) that would be much more rewarding to me financially speaking. any advice is welcome!

Jannie censored 25% of the catalog again because too many people were posting wrongthink.
Thank you jannie for protecting us from nonconformist scientific ideas. 4chan just isn't the place for people who want to express unique and novel ideas about the sciences, one day the chuds will have to learn that.

trans vs cis in orgo chem made me understand transgender + cisgender people

No.14377197 ViewReplyOriginalReport
scientifically, it all makes sense. scientifically, you can be born male, but then transition or be born male and be cis. it comes down to science.
