Every so often, some "I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE" poster shares an article that says humans will develop bigger eyes or other bullshit.
But is there any reasonable way for a globally-connected population disconnected from their environment to continue evolving or have they achieved a kind of evolutionary plateau? At a large scale, what could we be selecting for anymore?
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that generally vision has gotten worse and more people are in need of glasses due to technology and a failure to select those people out of the gene pool.
