>Observed mutation frequencies around genes in turn accurately predict patterns of genetic polymorphisms in natural Arabidopsis accessions (r=0.96). That mutation bias is the primary force behind patterns of sequence evolution around genes in natural accessions is supported by analyses of allele frequencies. Finally, we find that genes subject to stronger purifying selection have a lower mutation rate. We conclude that epigenome-associated mutation bias2 reduces the occurrence of deleterious mutations in Arabidopsis, challenging the prevailing paradigm that mutation is a directionless force in evolution.

What did they mean by this? is it still safe if you can die from it?

How can you mandate a medical procedure with a risk of death?

Any stomach sciestists here? I've had the following symptoms ongoing for months;

>Painful achy feeling in center of abdomen below the navel
>Starts hurting an hour after waking up in the morning
>Pressing on area does not make it worse
>No noticeable lumps
>Feels better after eating
>Tends to go away completely in the evening

Online searches suggest it is either a peptic ulcer or an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Anyone know? How do I make this pain go away. And before anyone asks, no I'm not fucking pregnant. Why do doctors always jump to this as the first cause of any stomach pain and have that insipid disbelieving look in their eye when I say there is absolutely no way that is possible.
