According to his twitter comments it will be an 18+ RPG. Based on his previous release history, we can probably expect this around September.

You have to establish a cooperation with the artist and build up trust, and once the leak happens this trust will be broken. But well, at least one game would get an "official" translation before the realization hits that this whole ordeal was a mistake to begin with.
Best for Moritake not to invest in something that is already prone to fail and instead keep working on the next game.

And yes indeed, sharing can be somewhat stopped.
The key is to make it as difficult as possible to acquire the doujin, because when there's too much effort involved the instant gratification effect won't come to pass and person looses interest.
And it's fact that mostly all event-only doujin have not been shared.

It seems like you didn't read the full text I posted. If the sales are good for the English translations despite eventually it will be leaked like all of his games have been after 4 to 5 months then their will be no problem. If he made money from it by trying the translation and profited it will just enocurage him to do it again. This is a 50/50 chance of pass or fail and it all depends on how fast the game will be leaked public which it will eventually but i am betting that it will be a while longer after a few months like his previous games since barachan is dead where most of his leaks happened, and most people here know the rules before leaking to soon.

Also sharing cannot be stopped the reason why is because of where Moritake lives. Here is an example of how someone stopped there games from being shared.

_ Remember Meat log mountain it was a old visual novel game back in the 2000's and it did really good because yaoi and bara visual novels were not as popular as today. They stopped the game from being leaked because to play the game you needed to have a paypal and provide your paypal user name and account information for them to make a account for meat log mountain for both username and password. No one would dare share it because it would give out their public paypal account information where there banks are leaked to it and money. Despite that the sales for the game was good, but eventually any other game made by the people of meat log mountain didnt do so well and people didnt really like the paypal account method. Now if moritake did a version like this his game sales can eventually drop because 1) I'm not even sure if Japan has their own version of Paypal or not, 2) Moritake distributes his games in person then, they come online which belongs to digiket, booth, and so on. That means to stop his games from being leaked he will have to try and manage the sales and production of his game but in real and and in person? That's simple to much work.

If moritake wants to stop his games form being leaked he actually can do this by letting his games come with an account that is leaked to a buyers personal information. But he wont do that because its to much work and it can affect his sales. His games have been leaked, but let's be honest his sales has not been affected as much. I don't support leaking games but they always do happen. Its the price of being a creator, all creators will eventually have there worked leaked, or a knock off version created that can effect their sales. It just a give and take and how much you can gain from your own sales. This translation can help improve his sales and if he does even despite the eventual leak it wouldn't matter then so don't let your own morals interfere with sales and money.

Did read your entire posts and precisely because there's always this risk of 50/50 pass or fail, it's already a fail in my eyes. All it takes is one asshole that shares within the first couple hours after release or couple days after even.
Barachan merely posted sharing links from other places, nobody there shared anything on their own account.
You assume that games have to be sold as digital download. Moritake could always decide to simply sell his games exclusively at events only, in fact many circles do that and there's quite a bunch of doujin that never surfaced online. Like I've mentioned before, you cannot 100% stop sharing but the more you reduce access the less it will happen, mostly not at all.
We can all be very grateful that Moritake gives us easy access and it would be a very good idea to stop taking this for granted.

How can you say that leaks aren't affecting his sales? Do you have some intel on that?
Besides, you're also assuming that games have to be sold as digital download.
Access can always be drastically reduced to event-only sales, in fact many circles do just that and their work have mostly never been shared online.
