Sorry I might be confusing matters here, it's the one procedure I remember doing a lot. But that was typically do deduce an interaction term.

The cited book (Lagrangian Interaction) is where I originally learned about it, I can recommend it. I was wondering if you could use the same idea to find a constraint on eta, but I don't know.

no, nothing to do with ghosts or g fixing. it was a question on one of my tests; we just needed to use hermiticity and gauge invariance of the lagrangian to determine constraints on the constants.

In terms of biochemistry and rates of absorption you're better off eating things that haven't been processed. Your question about the syrup is complex because some of that snake definitely gets absorbed better with oil, but what does it even matter if your body cannot process any of it properly because it's not used to having a bunch of it dumped. You know how it gets habituated when you eat certain foods? Some people are able to absorb certain foods better. It is also true that some people learn to absorb it better over time. I guess you hate this answer

Data fitting and estimation for the most part. I don't really like the term machine learning. I prefer statistical learning.

Think of linear regression (fitting a line through data) as the most basic problem in machine learning. All other algorithms are advanced forms of that problem. Some handle high dimensions well (i.e. finding f(x,y,z....)) Some handle large amounts of data well some are focused classification (i.e. f(x) = 1 or 0) others are continuous focused. Some are better at time series data, some are focused on knowing the underlying model first, etc.

You get the point. It's a huge field because prediction and interpolation are big money making ventures and the problems are pretty vast because data can take on so many forms. There really isn't a one size fits all solution either and many of the algorithms can fuck up.

Outside of Medallion, literally no "Wall Street bro" uses something like that. Maybe (and this is a real outside maybe) some fuckin nerd implements something like that in software that a trader looks at before snorting a line and YOLOing his desks monthly profits. But aint no trader using that.

It says amongst people of 140 IQ, 57% are male.

Men average around the same IQ as Women, but there are more smart men and dumb men then there are smart women and dumb women. It's a known fact. It makes sense in nature that women had to be stable IQ to take care of the children, while men just had to know how to chase an animal with a group.
