What the fuck is data science?
Like seriously what is it?
I looked at a curriculum for a degree and it just seemed like a dumbed down combo of a stats and CS degree with some buzzwords thrown in to the course description, but I keep hearing that it's one of the best fields to get into, why?

Why did no western company invest in inactivated virus covid vaccines?

No.13482753 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Only Chinese and Indians did, and it's kinda suspicious since that's the one kind of vaccine that's tried and tested and people trust in

Climate Change vs. Falling pH

No.13495396 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Anyone have a good reason why climate change is as huge of a talking point as it is, but you hardly hear the acidification of bodies of water discussed in the same kind of conversations? It seems a lot less ambiguous for consequences of CO2 emissions.

Do hills/mountains reflect the sound of thunder, or does the sound originate so high that it makes no difference? I'm on vacation in a mountain village, and there was a thunderstorm happening, with most of the strikes seemingly behind the nearest hill, and they seemed very quiet (despite the sound coming quickly after the flash).
My family keeps telling me just old folk knowledge about how hills "carry" the sound, but I have no clue what that's supposed to mean.

Pic punrelated.
