My guess is that its easier for them to feel positive emotions than the rest of us. We seem to be less enthusiastic and more focus on negative emotions even if we dont express them; and we tend to inhibit repress positive feeling by shame.

It's essentially taking the perception of reality before reality itself. These are the same kinds of people who would happily put themselves in a pleasure machine. Instead of meditating all day long and exploring your empty head, how about go read a book and learn something, or go explore somewhere, or build your relationships with other people? Seems like a much better strategy for a good life to me.

Yes because if they are taken care of by relatives and have everything they need, they'll be content with what they have. They won't ponder the meaning of life, get jaded of their career, etc. And they are generally very welcoming and appreciative of bonuses, like children are.

No because once you take that network away from them, they aren't able to function and go through misery and hell in almost all aspects of life.
