Enough of the number seven, 10-day week for the win!
This will make time conversion much easier to do.
There will be 3 more days of the week: Sciday, Urlenday, Nepday.
They will be placed right after Wednesday respectively.
Sciday will be a new day off, cutting the work week in half.
Urlenday and Nepday are named after Uranus and Neptune.

Wednesday would be like Friday.
Sciday would have an unique vibe.
Urlenday would be like Monday.
Nepday would be like a normal work day.

Screenshot is my proposed calendar. There are
30 days in a month. The U1, L1,...,U6, L6 are the
upper and lower months (they can be replaced
with the usual month names). The T1,...,T5 are
transition days (every two months in a year)
with 4Y transition day every leap year.

I ended up learning about nuclear disasters in Chernobyl and Fukushima. I know that they used totally different reactors but there's one thing that i can't wrap my head around. In Fukushima they used BWR reactors which were using light water as a moderator and coolant which makes sense to me. In RBMK reactor that were operating in Chernobyl uses graphite as moderator and water as a coolant. From what i was able to learn they have to use graphite endings on the control rods to compensate for waters neutron absorption ability which doesn't make sense to me because water is used as a moderator. Can anyone explain to me what i'm understanding wrongly about this thing?

this does not answer my question however, assuming an atomically precise knife which cuts an object of length 10 into blocks of length 3, what is the length of the remaining piece?

the issue comes when dealing with the remainder. In the system I was describing a decimal is placed and we further divide into the remainder to get the decimal, which repeats infinitely

If we counted in integer base countable infinity (a number base containing an infinite number of prime factors), you would never encounter irrational numbers because you can always subtract a prime factor from the tally when dividing, letting you represent the result exactly. You only encounter irrational numbers when you run out of prime factors to cancel. The Babylonians used base 60 because it that number base contains a lot of prime factors that are commonly used in every day calculations, making division trivial in most cases.

Pic related is a respiratory calorimeter. It measures co2 and oxygen levels while a person breathes to determine their metabolic rate.

I've read many older medical textbooks that recommend doctors measure the metabolic rates of patients to determine various things about their condition.

How did they measure these rates in the past? Is there a way someone can measure their own metabolic rate without a respiratory calorimeter? If not can a non medical professional purchase one of these devices?

such as breathing rates, capillary refill in the fingers nails by touching them and seeing if the color returns, skin color, condition and temperature
the most concrete and definitive way to identify is through co2 levels specifically because you can have normal oxygen levels and be breathing fine but if you have abnormal co2 expiration then things can drop VERY quickly

i found online that the first basic inspiration for the respiratory calorimeter was invented in the 1800s so im guessing they hopefully had advanced the technology enough to measure these levels by the 1950s
