Energy Density
Fission: >Thorium: 79,420,000 MJ/kg >Uranium: 80,620,000 MJ/kg
Fusion >Deuterium-Tritium Fusion: 337,387,388 MJ/kg
This means that Fusion generates over 4x energy at the same mass
Cost >Thorium: $30/kg >Uranium $73/kg
>Deuterium: $2400/kg >Tritium: $30,000,000/kg
Fusion costs 410,000x more than Uranium. (Not including the cost of the plant)
Doesn't matter if ITER succeeds or not
Anyone who believes that Nuclear Fusion can happen in our lifetime is fed with lies.
There is not enough H-3 in the world to supply enough fusion energy, let alone supply it cheaply
The amount of advancements we have to do in order to make farming of H-3 cost-efficient doomed Fusion from the very start
We would need to make Nuclear Reprocessing of Nuclear Waste widely available just so we can generate enough H-3 cost-efficiently.
But to do that, the world must be required to accept Nuclear power as their baseload.
Fusion would not happen in 200 years and it cannot happen without Fission to back it up en mass. Both in power and fuel
How do I create a physics equation on my own? Once I discover a fundamental physical principle how do I translate that into the language of mathematics?

We discuss research, DO NOT offer advice (just fucking go see your doctor) make fun of gunner premeds and shitpost. Please keep vaccination/clamping/vitamin K etc. out of this thread and start your own because it takes a lot of space. >inb4 not science >inb4 poor amerimutts wanting medical advice
Can someone drop the image of decarte and the princess of sweden that's on the Springer Linear Algebra Done Right with the caption changed to something about decarte mansplainign please
Something very strange happened to a female friend my age (25yrs). Hadn't seen her for a few weeks and just figured out by accident when talking to her bf. Apparently one evening she stated to him that she didn't feel very well and then began to behave what he described as strange. Her bf then drove her to the nearest hospital, where she began having trouble speaking and after checking her up in the ER they were sure it must be a neurological cause. She then got transfered to another hospital (that has the specialized docs) and as of now is not able to talk nor write anymore at all and gets artificially fed. If I didn't know any better I would say that this is the cause of a stroke? Absolutely terrifying considering that she has (besides an intolerance for fruit) always been healthy. Any of you ever had experienced something like this with friends or maybe yourself? Can't imagine what this must be like.. are people in this situation even conscious anymore if they can't talk, write or even eat by themselves? If yes, then she must be scared shitless right now as she's also very anxious.
