The reason is that the nature of humans is to base their self-worth in relation to others. This is mostly due to the evolutionary pressure of a social species zero-sum game selection of gene propegation. Having to feel like you're better than someone is just human nature. It's the same reason why we have all these IQ threads and engineer Vs mathematician threads. You might be the on the lowest rungs of the societal, economical and social ladder but at least you're not black.

Maybe there is merit to their arguments, in fact there probably is, but the only reason we have 2 of these threads in the catalogue at any given time is what I wrote.

It would be nice having a thread about this interesting social behaviour instead but what can you do. Human nature is just one of those things we can't really do a lot about.

Like could you pour some distilled water over white flour, and then pour off the water after 24 hours to get a nice supply of B vitamins?
Is there more efficient ways to extract B vitamins in a do-it-yourself way at home?

White flour is so cheap anyways.

yeah this is probably a better solution
I also saw data that organic sprouted grains have around 3.0x higher B vitamins content than non-sprouted grains, so I might just buy some organic sprouted wheat flour

sprouting is similar to how nixtamalized corn (masa harina) has much higher nutrient availability than corn flour
