Is a ME + EE double major pointless?
My school offers the same curriculum for the first two years.
I'm really into materials science conceptually, but am also interested in aviation.

If the needle were an electromagnet. you could turn on and off the magnetic property of the needle and make it carry itself around then turn it on just before it hit north then let it be pulled to north before turning it off to let it coast around again

would that work?

Most of what we now about electrodynamics has been severely truncated to benefit the slave masters in power. You learn about longitudinal waves for sound, but you do not learn them for charge carrying particles. You truncate any notion in the maths that make this obvious first by abandoning Maxwells quaternion and utilizing heavisides vector notation, then truncating the divergence of the magnetic vector potential for no other reason than math is hard, and than finally ignoring that destructive interference doesn't cancel out energy, but imposes stress on spacetime, leading to energy flow where $E=B=\nabla \times A = 0$

Is there any relatively common solid material we use that is a mixture between elements and compounds alike? Most I can think of either have only compounds (most ceramics) or only elements (most alloys)
