Anecdotal, but looks like kids raised by single fathers do better than everybody else.
For last 8 years I've been working in a very crowded public school in a high crime, poor neighborhood. Naturally I deal with parents more than I want too and over the years I noticed that, most of the time, talking to mothers doesn't make any difference. Kid doesn't do homeworks, you talk to their mom, kid continues to not do homeworks. Same thing about poor grades, smoking, bad behavior, damaged books etc. etc. Rarely ever you see a positive change. And over the years I noticed that talking to fathers actually makes a difference. I don't know what they do at home, but I noticed that if there is a problem and you tell it to student's father, most of the time, problem gets resolved. I've seen it work countless times and it can't be a coincidence at this point. Also, dealing with fathers is, in general, much more pleasant than dealing with mothers. Some mothers complain their children don't listen, they blame teachers, they cuss, demand things, some even cry... while father usually say "ok, I will deal with it". Obviously not all mothers are like that, majority are pleasant people, but if I have unpleasant encounter with a student parent, it is usually their mom.

The Germ Theory of Disease is correct.
There are infinitely many numbers.
Human activity has brought the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere from 0.025% to 0.042% in about 200 years, which has a measurable effect on the climate.
What the heck is wrong with bipolar people? What's with the pendulum bullshit that makes them crash for weeks? They were manic for weeks, why can't they just stay manic forever?
Cognitively speaking.
Do any of you guys have any knowledge about the current state of regenerative medicine (including stem cell technology, even those nanobots and what not) for treating damage to the peripheral nervous system? I know this is really cutting edge stuff that hasn't been well-explored yet but if you know of anything in particular you've learned about I'd be curious to hear it.
Also is it true that exercise can help the nervous system heal or is that just "exercise fixes everything" bullshit? I exercised a lot to deal with depression and it didn't help at all.
The brain creates memories, but stores these memories in the DNA. Memory then exists at a cellular level.
The sperm and egg you are born from have the memories of your parents stored in your DNA; along with all the other coding. However, the memories get scrambled, and codified in such a way that they end up becoming instincts- response to stimulus/ your personality. BUT, the actually memories are still in the "junk" DNA; and ,every now and then, something can stimulate a response to them- and people actually tap into a really memory from their ancestors.
Now, throw in psychedelic drugs, which might cause epigenetic changes, tapping into these memories. For example, the whole DMT entities and hallucinations are actually memories of the sperm and egg?
Or even remember being born? That always sounded like an alien abduction to me, especially being born in a hospital. Taken up to the bright lights, experimented on by guys in green robes and safety glasses?
Does not have to be drugs either. Trauma, stress, environmental factors.
Does this sound reasonable? Epigenetic changes could stimulate access to "hidden" memories stored in our "junk" DNA?
