Ayo my name Deeray and I gots a question bout science. How is science spose to progress if scientists like my boy Aubrey here can get kicked off they own projects by women makin up bullshit bout em, sayin they be sexual harassin n shit? If any woman finna kill a scientists career, all she hafta do is make up lies. Aint no proof Aubrey did that shit. Aint no proof. But he out the door for good cuza that metoo shit. What you feel bout this, family? Is science dead n shit?

is it scientifically possible for niggers to become real scientists?
Is everything in Biology just chemistry and probability/statistics? Sounds really gay desu.
SpaceX is making the largest most powerful rocket in history, it is fully reusable and lands by itself. They have already tested the engines, the flight profile of the upper stage have done numerous hops and landing tests and have static fired and cryo tested the booster. They have tested the stacking of the rocket and they have already built the launch platform. The thermal protection system is tested and they are very close to an orbital test flight where they will test reentry as well as the ascent and landing flight profile of the booster.

>the fucking human brain is wired in such a way where if you are exposed to the maximum possible amount of collective suffering with a maximum possible collective duration, while being able to cope and deal with it, you will come out far more mentally healthy than people who simply experience a lifetime of happiness
why is reality so fucking cruel? that's actually sick and repulsive

Hi /sci/; normally I don't post outside /g/, but figured you lot would know more than the consoomers over there. What are some good high school/college level maths books? I ended up getting fucked pretty badly re:education thanks to the wuflu, so I've been studying on my own for the past month using the material on Khan Academy, but I feel like it's not necessarily rigorous or in-depth. Specifically I'm interested in learning more about algebra and pre-calculus, but really anything would be appreciated - geometry, calculus itself, stats...
Also, since I'm making a post about berks, if you happen to know any good intro CS texts I'd really appreciate pointers. I've picked up a lot of stuff about engineering and all that, which is cool, but I'd like to actually understand the technology, not just use it.

So, today I went to the dentist to extract my last Wisdom tooth, but it was hard to remove because it have growth horizontally (lying).
So she told me she would have to remove the second molar because it was blocking the removal of the wisdom tooth, but she would try to put it back and I should hope it will "glue" back again.
Now I'm basically with a "loose" wisdom tooth in my mouth, and I'm so worried it will not glue back and I'll have a huge gap in the back of my mouth.
Have any of you guys experienced something like this before? Should I lose my hope already?

Here's a video explaining how it works:

TL, DW: Bacteria covered with chemotherapy will be injected into the body of a cancer patient. These bacteria will be guided using powerful external magnets towards the tumor where they will launch a kamikaze attack on cancer cells by releasing the chemotherapy. The main objective is to minimize the harmful effects of chemotherapy on other parts of the body.

is it a bad thing to be resetting our mouth biome once/twice a day, or have the benefits of brushing teeth outweighed those negatives?

Assuming consciousness is an evolved, purely physical property, what would be the evolutionary point of it? Why aren't all living beings simply automata? What exactly makes it necessary for us to have an experience of the world? You could have all of a human's functionality without the inner world, consciousness or whatever you want to call it.
To me it seems that the intricate chemical workings of the brain are purely designed to trick us into moving around and surviving. Why should living beings need chemicals to be motivated to eat and breed? You could develop a robot just doing these things without the need to trick it or motivate it.
This is where materialists' explanation for consciousness collapses for me. It just doesn't add up.
