so, the alignment matrix is the "feature matrix"
in speech case (text <-> spectrogram), the first column in matrix is an entry for the corresponding frame for the first sentence, the second is the corresponding entry for the second sentence,
the same for all sentence.
the idea is that you can use the first row (the feature vector) for the first sentence, the second row for the second sentence, and so on.

, because OP was talking about degraded immunity for particular strains, which has nothing to do with viral adaptation. Antibody degradation for a particular strain is a real thing ("Although vaccination did generate influenza-specific cells, most were short-lived and lost within 1 year"). But none of this answers why this holds for influenza but not tetanus. So much for Google.

Start with Profesor Leonard's pre-algebra playlist on YouTube. Take notes. Go through the examples until you understand them. Work your way up to more complicated maths, Googling stuff you don't know. Also look at the /sci/ wiki (it has textbook recommendations for maths and engineering). Good luck.
