How tf do I melt iridium and alloy it with other platinum group elements?

I plan on using oxy-hydrogen as a heat source, but I'm open to suggestion. Also have oxy-propane available. Acetylene is maybe possible but very very hard to get.

Can I use a tungsten crucible? Will it simply form a glob and adhere to the tungsten?

I bought a purifier against limescale (a plastic version of pic related) and this will run through all our water including drinking water. Is it unhealthy? It's supposedly some sort of mineral so idk.

Suppose for a moment that everybody wanted to create new designs for everyday things that would increase the welfare of our environment.

What kinds of things would be easiest to change? What would be most impactful?

Specifically the packaging industry and single use disposable items are probably one of the biggest problem sectors.
I've seen some places use biodegradable single use utensils. They basically work the same but the material is a little more paper based. Unfortunately the pipeline to produce these biodegradable forks and knives is not capable of producing at the scale of the plastic manufacturers. And still there's a large swarth of other items that still use plastic.

I think the best thing we could do is create a plastic that can be recycled into energy or something. As it stands burning plastics to get rid of them is a standard practice. It's not such a long shot to just change the polymer into something that could be used to store and release energy.

When?
As soon as people start doing it. I'm not sure how hard it is to work with, but converting trash we have too much of into something useful will become an industry very soon. It's about to be a new gold rush.

The spike protien is an ace2 agonist, ace2 being found in the heart and gonads among other places. Binding to a receptor activates it.
Over stimulation of a receptor can lead to desensitization and inhibit it's function.
This very same process is used in a type of chemical castration that results in the cessation of gonadstropin. In the begining you will see spikes in sex hormones, more testosterone in men and more estrogen in women.

You know what else puts more estrogen in women?

Too much estrogen causes female infertility and the cessation of periods.
