How do people believe in something that cannot be demonstrated or understood with contemporary scientific or experiments, is impossible to experience and holds no basis in our reality?

What's the catch? I'm curious since I was raised as christian but i am not a believer.

Is chemists the scientists more prone to use their knowledge in criminal behavior?

Must be, but is there any data on it? I can't imagine how physicists or biologists might have more advantages in criminal activity than chemists who can just pump out new drugs for junkies and explosives for the military industrial complex
