>masks all day are dangerous because its a petri dish of bacteria and virons from your mouth and lungs

Ya but isn't that your bacteria and virons that you are already exposed to in your system meaning that you already have antibodies to them?

Like if I wear a mask for a month, then put it into my drawer for a year, and then a year later I took a big whiff of that masks.

Wouldn't I just be refreshing my antibodies from the bugs I had a year ago?

Is there anything I can ask my doctor to give me to give me peace of mind about minimizing my chances of cardiac issues after I get my first and second covid jabs?

Will blood pressuring regulating meds do anything?

>there is no mechanism of action to make us concerned about the long term effects of smoking. Anyone who says smoking MIGHT be dangerous is an uneducated pleep who needs to trust the science.
>oh opps, ciggerates actually cause lung cancer and heart disease

>there is no mechanism of action to suggest asbestos might be dangerous. Anyone saying we should consider not using it is LITERALLY CAUSING FIRES and needs to trust the science
>oh opps it turns out breathing in asbestos fibres is actually highly carcinogenic

>There is no mechanism of action to suggest thalodimide is dangerous. Anyone who says we should consider not using it until we know its safe in the long term is an anti-science conservatard who needs to trust the science.

>there is no mechanism of action to suggest mRNA covid vaccines might be dangerous.

Sounds a little cocky IMO

I guess there are differences in smell and skin color and hair texture but that's it. We are all just humans with different phenotype traits.

I've been on 4chan for nearly a decade and a half. I visit on a near daily basis and have done so for the entirety of my time here, ever since I became aware of the site. I'm incredibly disheartened by lack of intellectual engagement and the decrease in frequency of quality content, particularly on boards, such as /sci/, which on any other platform I would regard as requiring a higher minimum standard in comparison to other topics. /lit/ and /his/ would follow this rule.

There are no systems for establishing or retaining cred on this platform, and that's fine, that's part of the gig being on an anonymous imageboard. Joe Blow who came onto a board yesterday is on equal footing with someone like me who's been around since 2007. I gotta ask directly though, which of you are frogposters and wojack-derivative posters? Is this the quality and type of content you want here? What compels you to post what you do? Is this merely what you expect in return by your peers, or is it originating from a desire within yourself where you genuinely think, "Yes, this is the kind of content I want on /sci/"?

It's buzzled me for so long. I have standards and detest what I find most days, but I'm no gatekeeper. It's a shared community, and you will reap what you sow, simple as. I just wanted to reach out, from one anon to another, and have you tell me in your own words "Yes.", or "No, it all sucks, please help".

When will /sci/ go back to normal?

I miss talking about math and sphysics instead of every thread being about antivax and race&IQ

Are the mods ever going to do something about this? Anyways, here's a thread from the glory days of /sci/ that ended up getting published in a mathematical journal, with the first author being "Anonymous 4chan poster" (the Haruhi problem)
