I've heard someone say that there is actually no proof and that its just a postulate of special relativity to make it all work. So does that mean we just "accept" this postulate because everything else in special relativity appears to be true? what if thats just a coincidence. What if the speed of light isn't constant but something else and all the theories in special relativity would still be true in that case?
I mean doesn't the law of relative velocities directly contradict the idea of light having a constant speed to all observers?

Is it possible to cause people to age super fast?
If so, It would be good to take murderers and just hyper-age them to a biological age of say 75 or 80 and then release them to the public.
Most people of that biological age are too weak, too short of breath , too frail, too lacking in explosive muscle power to rape or abduct or murder anyone.
Sure maybe you might think you could do the same by severing their spinal nerves and leaving them in a wheel chair, but those wheelchair basketballers are still pretty strong and could definitely murder a girl if they got close enough to grab.
And paralysing them from the neck down would cost too much to look after them.
With hyper aging they would die off pretty quickly and they could look after themselves for a while before they died.
Obviously killing murderers is best of all but since the death penalty is going away , disabling murderers and rapists and making them too weak to commit the crime again is the next best thing.
And desu death isn’t a worthy punishment for rape of an adult , even violent rape, but disabling or enfeebling is a good punishment and saves on costs in looking after them in prison

If you want to weaken people just have a surgeon cut bits of every muscle, break some bones and allow them to heal incorrectly. Irradiate their skin with UV megadose, inject with chemicals that cause renal failure at sub-lethal dose, and so on.

How the fuck is China covering up hundreds of millions of COVID cases? How is it not overwhelming their healthcare system like it did in India. Do they have some secret treatment or super effective vaccine that they are hoarding or something?

China's one-child policy created a demographic timebomb for them. Covid is solving this by killing off millions of elderly. When every worker has four grandparents and eight great-grandparents to support, they don't get too vocal when some of the old folks die and lift the burden off of them. China doesn't have a lot of fat people and diabetics so it's mainly the elderly that are dying and no one really cares about that.

Burying excess bodies would be simple and nobody is going to go looking for them or ask the government why they dug some pit on the outskirts of town.

University doesn't teach anything if you don't know anything, same with school. You gotta invest time and effort, research on your own, educate yourself. It requires motivation which is lacking in most students because they're not interested and disengaged. Mostly because they come from family that didn't expose them to the wonders of curiosity. Teachers are supposed to fix this problem but they are bad at this. It's a vicious cycle of bad teaching resulting in a poor education. With advancements of tech and rise of pandemics where everyone online anyway it is not clear why there is no attempted solution to this problem i.e. open source education or curriculum. There is some bits and pieces falling short to an issue of being ubiquitous reading lists which you have to cut through to get the knowledge anyway. tl;dr We have lots of knowledge which requires good amount of human life to become expert in. Why do we value the human life so little that we didn't streamline the basic foundations of math/science and instead reduced it to the never ending sisyphus cycle of trying to become a living calculator?
